BEST project student mobility from Gijón to Linköping

We had a great time in Linköping. Although it was very cold and snowing, we really had fun with the snow and the people we met.

We visited Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium and it was fanthastic! The activities were very interesting: we  cooked some typical Swedish food, we participated in a creativity workshop, we made candleholder and we visited the Fenomenmagasinet Science Center, where we could see different kind of animals and  we made a solar-car.

Linköping is a really nice city and the people are really kind and friendly. They helped and guided us during our stay there. We hope to meet the students and the stuff again, here in Gijón or anywhere in Europe! It was really wonderful to have met you all!

Gijón was a great time

The time in Gijón was very wonderful. The BEST project gave us the chance to learn a lot about the Spanish culture. Working togehther with the other students was very nice and an importent experience for us. The people are very friendly and from the first moment they gave us the feeling that we are welcome. Beside the work it was very interesting that we saw some places of Gijón and we came to know the economic situation of Gijón. We hope to see the students and the stuff again and wish the best to all of them.

Student Mobility in Gijon!

Students from each of the partner institutions spent an incredible week in Gijon in May 2012. The activity was designing, producing, marketing, and selling t-shirts that were hand-painted by the students! The designs varied from slogans in the languages of the partners, to cartoon figures, to creative drawings. On the last day of the mobility, the students all worked at a stand in the market square in the centre of Gijon to sell their creations to the public! It was a great experience not only in terms of developing and practicing their enterprise skills in a real-life setting, but also to communicate with others despite a language barrier. The students were very successful in the activity, and felt a great amount of pride and accomplishment at the end of the week. The groups also cooked meals together, and the week culminated in a multicultural culinary feast, where each group cooked a speciality from their own country. It was a week of intercultural exploration, meeting new friends, and developing life-long skills in communication, being an entrepreneur, and stepping into the unknown!

Doncaster Student Mobility

In May 2012 a group from our school visited Doncaster College in England. We were invited to watch in various activities at the Hub, the central building of the campus. The week that we spent there was full of inspiration and new experiences. We shared ideas with other European students. We also participated in projects such as building a hut and lighting fire in the Stone Age way. The highlights of the week were our hand- made, nicely decorated ladybird houses which we designed and constructed ourselves and sold afterwards.

We enjoyed being with students from other parts of Europe, we had fun together and each day a different group cooked one of their traditional meals. As a result, we learned not only about other nation’s food, but also a few new words in other languages. We appreciated the warm welcome by the staff and students of the hosting college and of Best project. They made our week in Doncaster unforgettable
